Carol Vernallis' theory

Carol Vernallis is a music video theorist who is known for her theory based on editing within music videos and how multiple techniques are used such as slow motion, jump cuts and obvious edits. Another point is that multiple close-up shots and cinematography  work in a major part of a music video as it can make the video more attractive when, for example, matching to the beat of the song.

I'm using this video for a fast pace instead of slow-motion as having a fast pace music video suggest the pace of the beat of the song. Another point is that since the beat has a fast pace, so does the obvious edits that has to match the pace of the music video. This video also has multiples of close up shots but has a 2 second view of the shot, implying the pace of the song.
